Meet the Programs & Events Department Staff  

All Programs & Events Department Staff have been background checked and drug tested, are certified in CPR/AED, First Aid and Basic Water Rescue, and have participated in extensive Child Behavior, Leadership, Communication and Risk Management Training.

Nichole Green, Programs & Events Coordinator

This is Nichole's first year at Brushy Creek, but she comes to the District with over ten years of recreation experience. In this position she oversees all programs and events at Brushy Creek which includes Camp Foxtail, Afterschool, Parents Night Out and all your favorite District events. Nichole graduated with a degree in Recreation and Lesiure Studies from the University of North Texas and earned her MLA from Texas Christian University. Alex Jackson, Events Specialist

Alex has been with Brushy Creek for five years and serves as the District Event Specialist. In this position she assists the Programs & Events Coordinator with all District events and is a key component in the Camp Foxtail Day Camp and the Community Center After School program. Alex graduated from McNeil High School in May of 2008 and is currently attending classes at Texas State University pursuing a degree in Education which she will complete in May 2013. Nicole Dehart (Afterschool & Events)

Nicole has been with the District for three years. She served as a Lead Counselor for Summer 2011 and as the Summer 2012 Camp Specialist. Nicole graduated from Round Rock High School in May 2010 and currently attends Austin Community College.

Justin Goocher (Afterschool & Events)

Justin joined the Programs Staff in March of 2011 and served as a Lead Counselor for Summer 2012. Justin graduated from McNeil High School in May 2012. Justin attends Austin Community College and is pursuing his education to be a dental assistant.

Haillie Johnson (Afterschool & Events)

Haillie has been with Brushy Creek for over two years. She served at the Camp CIT Lead Counselor for Summer 2012. Haillie graduated from McNeil High School in May 2010 and currently attends the University of Texas in Austin where she is majoring in education. Hook 'Em!

Katelyn Netherton (Afterschool & Events)

Katelyn started working at Brushy Creek in September 2011 after she successfully completed the Summer 2010 Camp CIT program. Katelyn is a Junior at Round Rock High School where she does a lot of work with volunteer organizations.

Hanna Montgomery (Afterschool & Events)

Hanna joined the Programs Department team in January 2012. Hanna is a Junior at Round Rock High School and very involved with her church's Backyard Bible Camp programs where she is a Captain.  

Cheyenne McCord (Afterschool & Events)

Cheyenne started working in June 2012 for Brushy Creek's Sports & Fitness Department as the Zumba Sub. Cheyenne wears many hats at Brushy Creek including teaching Zumba, working as a Recreation Assistant with Sports & Fitness and as a Camp, Afterschool, & Event counselor in the Programs Dept. Cheyenne graduated from Round Rock HS in May 2012 where she was the dance team captain and currently attends Austin Community College.

Macy Stearns (Afterschool & Events)

Macy began at Brushy Creek in May 2012 as a Lifeguard, but moved to the Programs Department in September. Macy attends Round Rock High School.

Haley Burson (Events)

Haley started working at Brushy Creek in September 2011 after she successfully completed the Summer 2010 Camp CIT program. Haley is a Junior at Round Rock HS and after High School plans to get a degree in education so that she can become a teacher.

Jarrod Owens (Events)

Jarrod has been with the District for over two years and served as a Lead Counselor for Summer 2011 and as the Head Counselor for Summer 2012. Jarrod graduated from McNeil High School and currently attends Texas State University in San Marcos to pursue becoming a Physician's Assistant.

Allison Tooms (Events)

Allison started working at Brushy Creek in September 2012 after several years of reffing for the District's Youth Vollyeball League. Allison currently attends Round Rock High School where she is involved in HOSA and is acting in the school play. Allison plans to pursue a career as pediatric surgeon.

Brandon Jones (Events)

Brandon has been with Brushy Creek for over four years and served his second summer as the Lead Counselor for the Splash Camp program in 2011. Brandon graduated from McNeil High School in May 2009 where he played football and ran track. Brandon currently attends Texas State University in San Marcos

Courtland Smith (Events)

Courtland has worked for Brushy Creek for over a year at the Concierge Desk with Member Services, but also joins the Camp Foxtail team as a support counselor filling in shifts when needed to allow regularly scheduled counselors to have days off. Courtland graduated from Round Rock High School in 2010 and currently attends Austin Community College.

Alex Hendee (Seasonal)

Alex has been with the District for over two years. She started in the Member Services Department in the Child Play room but moved to the Programs Department for Summer 2010. Alex graduated from McNeil High School in May 2011 and is currently attending Texas Wesleyan where she is on the school's volleyball team. Go Rams! Even though she is away at college, Alex will be returning as a counselor for Camp Frozen Fox this Winter.

Eriana Garner (Seasonal)

Eriana joined the Programs Department in March of 2011 and served as the Lead Counselor for the Splash Camp program for Summer 2012. Eriana graduated from McNeil High School in May 2012 where she played on the Varsity Basketball Team. She currently attends Texas Lutheran University in Seguin where she also plays basketball. Even though she is away at college, Eriana will be returning as a counselor for Camp Frozen Fox this Winter.

Matt Mainiero (Seasonal)

Matt joined the Programs Staff in March of 2011. Matt graduated from McNeil High School in May 2011 where he was Captain of the Football Team. Matt is currently playing Football at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas (GAC 2011-2012 Conference Champions! Go Tigers!). Even though he is away at college, Matt will be returning as a counselor for Camp Frozen Fox this Winter.

Zach Kuhn (Seasonal)

Zach started working at Brushy Creek in December 2011. Zach graduated from McNeil High School May 2012 where he was the Football Team Captain and Quarterback. Zach is currenlty attending Texas A&M University in College Station. Gig 'Em! Even though he is away at college, Zach will be returning as a counselor for Camp Frozen Fox this Winter.
