Sendero Springs Pool Shade Cover    

The Sendero Springs Pool is consistently used by swim team programs for training and competitions.  The deck at the pool becomes very hot to the touch and can burn the feet of young swimmers.  A new shade covering has been installed at the starting block area of the pool.  The shade covering spans all 8 lanes from just off the deck, extending 3-5 feet over the water and 2-3 feet off each side of the pool.  This covering will provide shade for swim coaches, starting block area, and allow patrons a shaded place to lounge while at the pool.  The cost for this shade covering was $15,000, of which the Brushy Creek Marlins contributed $10,000 to the project.
