Adult Programs : BC METS - Osteoporosis

OSTEOPOROSIS WORKSHOP

Friday, May 31
10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Community Center Meeting Rooms

Osteoporosis is a silent disease that affects adults over the age of 50. Bone loss begins to occur, and often new bone is not being made. Sadly this puts older adults at a high risk of fractures, falls, and other conditions. Don't miss this 2-hour workshop provided by a nurse and Physical Therapist from St. David's Round Rock Medical Center. You will learn how to prevent osteoporosis (or slow it down), diagnostic tests, nutrition, and treatment options. Wear safe & comfortable tennis shoes so that you can do some light exercises!

Please RSVP to Maura at m.morrow@bcmud.org
