Improvements of Spillway Over Stairway Along Powder Horn Drive

Location: The spillway between Powder Horn Drive and Creekside Park

Estimated Time Frame: A drainage study and work to divert water from the stairway was completed in the fall of 2025. 

Description: Improvements included installation of rock rip rap at the bottom of the stairway to address erosion scour, as well as the installation of safety signage at the top and bottom of the stairs.

Impact to Community: District staff will continue to assess viable improvements to the area adjacent to the bottom of the stairway between Powder Horn Drive and Creekside Park. The stairway remains open.
