Dear Brushy Creek MUD residents,

We are reaching out to let you know about a small transition we are making that will provide big benefits for residents and the District alike.

On Oct. 18, 2026, Brushy Creek MUD will transition its website address from bcmud.org to bcmudtx.gov. Visitors to our website will not be affected in any major way, but the transition will greatly improve the District’s digital presence by:

• Enhancing credibility and security by ensuring users are accessing official government services. 
• Fortifying our public trust by moving our website and email accounts, as .gov domains are exclusively issued to verified government entities. 
• Improving authentication of District services through a .gov domain. 

As a BCMUD website user, you will be directed to the District’s official website by using either the .org or .gov domain for the foreseeable future. In the future, if you type in the .org domain, you will be automatically redirected to a page instructing you to go to bcmudtx.gov.

Additionally, BCMUD staff members will receive a new email account with the .gov domain. However, even if you contact a former .org email address, you will be automatically directed to the employee you need to reach.
