Friday, January 31
10:30 am - 12:00 pm
Come to the community center and have a snack and we'll explore the world, past and present! Hoover Dam is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between Nevada and Arizona. Constructed during the Great Depression between 1931 and 1936, it was dedicated on September 30, 1935, by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Let's get together and explore how it was built, how it works, and how itβs impacted our world!
