2/20/2020 - Great Oaks Dr. Bridge - County Project

GREAT OAKS dr. BRIDGE at brushy creek

Williamson county project

County contractors are relocating a water line near Shirley McDonald Park starting Monday, February 24, 2020. The water line project is expected to be completed May 2020. This will include digging a hole to make a pathway for the new water line location. We do not anticipate residential water service to be affected.

Starting February 25, 2020, the County is closing a portion of the Brushy Creek Regional Trail at Great Oaks Drive at the boardwalk at Creekside Park until just east of the Great Oaks Drive and Hairy Man Road intersection for safety around the construction area. The Shirley McDonald Park parking lot will be closed during construction as well.

After the water line has been relocated, the County will begin work on the Great Oaks Drive Bridge Project. The bridge project is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2021. This work may disturb traffic patterns so please plan accordingly.

Please see the County website for additional details.

BCMUD Parks staff are relocating Shirley McDonald Park signage, trash cans, plants, and the park water fountain.
