5/30/2020 - County Project May Effect Water Pressure and Traffic on Thursday, APR 30

Water Pressure on April 30

On Thursday, April 30, the County has scheduled the relocation of District water lines near Great Oaks and Hairy Man Rd. for the upcoming Bridge Project. BCMUD residents south of Brushy Creek may experience a temporary reduction in water pressure on this day.

As part of the District’s contingency plan to prepare for the County’s work, we are asking residents to avoid large amounts of water use between 7am - 7pm on April 30.

Please contact the District Customer Service Office at customerservice@bcmud.org or 512-255-7871 ext 1 with any questions or concerns.

Traffic Control on April 30 and May 1

The County has scheduled temporary traffic control on Thursday, April 30 and Friday, May 1 on Great Oaks between Brightwater and Hairy Man Rd.  The temporary traffic control will be in place between the hours of 5:00 AM to 4:30 PM each day.  The southbound lane of traffic will be shifted into the east side of Great Oaks.  One lane will be maintained in each direction on the east side of Great Oaks.  The west side of Great Oaks will be closed off to provide a safe work zone for the workers.  The contractor will be working on the BCMUD waterlines during this time.  A stop sign will be added facing the southbound lane at Brightwater.
