8/31/2026 - NOTICE: Fee Adjustments to Take Effect October 1, 2026

Dear Brushy Creek MUD residents,

Brushy Creek MUD plans to adjust the Residential Emergency Management and Hazard Mitigation fee and the Land Management and Parks Maintenance fee, collected through monthly utility bills, as part of our continued mission to provide safe, reliable infrastructure.

For an additional $75 per year, residents are contributing to the resiliency and character that help create the Brushy Creek Life. These funds enable the District to respond to emergencies effectively and maintain the beautiful spaces that make the community unique.

Emergency Management and Hazard Mitigation

This fee increase is a proactive investment in community resilience and emergency preparedness. Proactively building a dedicated financial reserve is a fiscally responsible investment that ensures there will be adequate resources when they are needed most-- immediately after a storm, flood, wildfire, or other emergencies.

Having these funds readily available enables the District to respond with urgency to support recovery efforts, protect property and infrastructure, and address unexpected community needs without significant delays or disruption to services.

Land Management and Parks Maintenance

Brushy Creek's parks, greenbelts, trails, and natural areas are among the community's most valued assets and contribute to the high quality of life residents and businesses expect. This fee increase will provide dedicated funding to preserve and maintain these resources to keep them safe, accessible, and enjoyable for residents and visitors.

Funds will go towards maintaining Brushy Creek parks, playgrounds, trails, and green belts, protecting environmentally sensitive karst features, replacing trees, maintaining landscaped medians, and other maintenance activities managed by the District. This investment helps sustain the natural beauty, green space assets, and character that make Brushy Creek MUD a special place to live.

These fees are crucial for sustained resiliency and quality of life. Through these investments, residents are contributing to the resiliency and character that help create the Brushy Creek Life.
