7/16/2013 - Williamson County Cul-de-sac Resurfacing to Begin July 22, 2013

Cul-de-Sac Resurfacing Starts Next Week

Williamson County will be resurfacing cul-de-sacs in Brushy Creek and Fern Bluff MUD neighborhoods and the surrounding areas starting the week of July 22. The County’s contractor, Clark Construction, will be using multiple crews in order to decrease the duration of the project. Our intention is to have the work completed prior to the start of the new school year.

As we have described before, we will be using a process called a fog seal. This is a different process than the seal coat process used on the straight portion of the roads two years ago, and fog seal does not use rocks to seal the road surface. For more information on this process, you can view a short video about it on our website at www.wilco.org/roads and click on your neighborhood.

Residents will be notified in advance via door hangers. Additionally, workers will knock on doors immediately before the work is to be performed. For specific days on which a given street is to be resurfaced, residents will be directed to either check our website, www.wilco.org/roads, or call our hotline, 512/943-3339, both of which are updated daily.

As a reminder, vehicles would not be allowed to access the cul-de-sac for approximately 2 to 3 hours. While the fog seal cures, workers will be present to direct traffic away from the freshly-coated pavement areas. Residents are encouraged to park cars outside the cul-de-sac if they know they will need to come or go while this is taking place. Also, please do not run sprinklers on your designated day.

We thank you in advance for your assistance and cooperation while this work is being completed.
