2/8/2017 - RM 620 Improvement Project Update

Information from Williamson County concerning the Rm 620 Improvement Project:

February 8, 2017

Construction is beginning on the RM 620 Phase 2 road project, which is located from approximately Wyoming Springs to Deep Wood Drive. Construction is scheduled to be completed in the Spring of 2018. The project consists of reconstruction of the existing four-lane roadway and widening to convert it to a six-lane divided roadway with a raised median, turn lanes and drainage improvements.

The construction schedule is to construct the new eastbound lanes south of the existing roadway during the first four to six months of the project, then shift the eastbound lanes onto the new roadway and reconstruct the new westbound lanes that are located on the existing pavement. Work along the north side of the roadway is tentatively scheduled to begin in June 2017. The work schedule is dependent on the weather and is subject to change.

Access to all businesses and side streets will be maintained at all times during the construction of the project. All lane closures will occur at night between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
